جلد في الخمر بالجريد والنعال وجلد أبو بكر أربعين فلما أن ولي عمر قال إن الناس قد دنوا من الريف فما ترون في حد الخمر فقال له عبد الرحمن بن عوف نرى أن نجعله كأخف الحدود فجلد فيه ثمانين صحيح رواه البخاري
