من يصلي لنا أو بنا قال أكثركم قرآنا أخذا أو جمعا للقرآن قال فقدموا فسألوا في قومهم فلم يجدوا أحدا عنده من القرآن أكثر مما أخذت فقدموني فكنت أؤمهم قال مسعر كان يؤمهم في مسجدهم ويصلي على جنائزهم
